Our History - Heywood Vets

“We are extremely proud to say that we can care for all your pets – Whether they have fur, scales or feathers”

Our Veterinary practice was established in 1996 on Market Street in Heywood and has been caring for the community for over 30 years. As our team, equipment and services began to expand, we quickly found that we had outgrown our old building and we needed to move to larger premises.

We opened our doors at 100 Bridge Street in 2005 where we now welcome and care for thousands of pets, from Heywood, Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Middleton and the surrounding area every year and we love what we do. Our new larger premises offer a warm welcome to our clients and pets and we achieved the Practice Standards award from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2018 – and the silver award for Cat Friendly status by the International Society of Feline Medicine. Both accreditations which are proud to shout about.

This means that we are now able to expand our services to include more unusual and exotic pets and animals such as reptiles, birds and small mammals. She is currently working towards gaining a GP certificate in Exotics medicine.

Our whole team work hard, with dedication and passion to provide the very best in Veterinary care services to our clients and their pets.
